Whether the weather is wet, showery or fine, we have plenty of events planned to entertain the families and children.  Ask for our programme of events when you arrive.

Farm animals, Pets Room, Reptile and Insect Houses – all fully stocked with new and old friends including newly-born baby deer, ducklings, chicks and goslings

Animal Encounters – will be run on a daily basis for the visitors to meet and hold some of our pets

Tractor and Trailer rides – we have altered our route that now takes in the lake with a beautiful swan, the scenic viewpoints of the valley and the animal paddocks

TRACTOR AND TRAILER RIDES –

(Now including duck feeding)

Our tractor and trailer rides take visitors up our very picturesque valley.  The ride includes passing the animal paddocks, seeing the environmentally-planted areas and also visiting our lakes where there are a number of ducks and geese who need feeding!

BIRTHDAY PARTIES (Now from £6 per party child!) – 

We now offer four party options.  All parties include two hours of play time, invitations, party bags and juice with the food.

Option 1 – Hot food selection at £9.80 per party child

Option 2 – Cold buffet at £9.80 per party child

Option 3 – Picnic boxes – held in our Medieval Castle - £9.00 

Option 4 – Castle parties at £6.00 per head where you bring your own picnic

All parents and adults accompanying the party come in free of charge.  For party groups, we also can offer our tractor and trailer rides at 75p per party child (adults free) to add that little bit of something extra.

KAJOS KAFFY –

We are pleased to announce the launch of Kajos Kaffy.  Our restaurant is now under new management, being run by Kerry Hogben.  Kerry has launched a new menu.  When you next visit, do fill in a competition form for your favourite meal to win a free meal for four.

PET SHOP –

The Pet Shop, known as PARK PETS, is now open and trading.  It stocks a wide variety of pets including rabbits, guinea pigs and reptiles and also small rodents and ‘bugs’.  It also deals in poultry and waterfowl.  There are constant ever-changing offers at the Shop including deals on animals and housing packages.  Feel free to pop in and look around.  Entry to the Shop is free and not subject to Farm Park entrance fee.

In support of the year of food and farming, Dick Whittington Farm Park is pleased to offer local schools a FREE animal road show visit!

The Dick Whittington Animal Road Show Team, will be taking a selection of animals, reptiles and bugs, out on the road and into local schools, giving a short 20 - 30 minute presentation on how animals live, what they eat and how they are of benefit to people.

Primary schools in Gloucestershire and Herefordshire will soon be crawling with ‘teachers pets’ Spiders, bugs and reptiles are to give pupils a live, three-dimensional view of a rural environment some of them know little or nothing about.

The idea of taking the countryside into the classroom was devised by staff at the award-winning Dick Whittington Farm Park, Little London, Longhope.

Park owner Chris Turney explained: “We tend to think that all children have had a close-up view of the creatures those of us who live in the country often take for granted”

“But many town and city children have only ever seen them on television or in picture books”

“They have never actually held a rabbit, or touched a reptile or stroked a duckling”

“All the creatures we shall be taking into the classroom will be completely harmless, even the big, black spooky spiders we have just introduced to the farm park”

“As well as seeing and touching the creatures, the children will also be told about their countries of origin, how they live and what they eat”

“Many of them have extremely exotic backgrounds, so it will be a visual, hands-on educational lesson in both the environment and geography”

Tens of thousands of children swarm to the farm park every year to see the alpacas, deer, pigs, sheep, rabbits, goats, cockatiels, gerbils, mice, fish, chipmunks, hamsters, chinchillas, terrapins, tree frogs, chicks, ducklings, dragon lizards and the two stars which have featured on Central TV South, Rosie and Maggie, the pedigree Highland cow and bull.

At the Dick Whittington Farm park we are pleased to offer a wholesome and simple menu of full meals and snacks. We do our best to source locally grown produce for use in our restaurant and where possible always offer a selection of fruit and fresh vegetables in our menus.

We have a large and airy restaurant area adjoining but separate to the indoor barn play area. In addition, you can eat your food on tables in the play section and know that your children are always in sight. Toilets and hand washing facilities are always close to hand, including a baby changing room.
